Solar Energy

Solar energy is energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy. Solar energy is a renewable energy source, meaning it can be used over and over again without depleting its natural resources. Solar energy is captured in a variety of ways, the most common being solar photovoltaic panels, which convert sunlight into electricity. Solar thermal energy systems use mirrors or lenses to concentrate a large area of sunlight into a small beam. The concentrated heat is then used as a source of heat for a variety of uses, such as heating water, generating electricity, or even cooling buildings. Solar energy can also be used to heat swimming pools and to power outdoor lighting. Solar energy is becoming increasingly popular as an alternative energy source due to its clean, renewable nature and its ability to reduce energy costs.
