DEME Group has secured a 50% stake in Bauer Offshore Technology, a German firm focused on drilling services for the establishment of offshore wind foundations.
This acquisition was executed through DEME Group’s fully owned subsidiary, DEME Offshore Holding, and concerns the company based in Schobenhausen.
Bauer Offshore Technologies will become part of DEME’s offshore energy sector, maintaining its eight-member workforce to continue delivering consulting, engineering services, and specialized tools produced by the Bauer Group on a project basis.
Activities will remain conducted under the Bauer Offshore Technologies name, in partnership with the Bauer Group.
The contract also includes a clause for DEME to obtain the outstanding 50% share within the subsequent five years.
Bauer Offshore Technologies utilizes vast expertise in various geotechnical scenarios to provide safe and effective drilling solutions for the offshore wind sector. The company has aided numerous projects, including the 496 MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm in France.
Recently, DEME Group has also taken over Havfram, an international offshore wind contractor located in Norway.
