Iver Group Acquires Business in Wind: A Strategic Move in the European Wind Industry

Synergistic Expertise

Business in Wind, known for its specialization in complex wind turbine projects, has joined forces with Iver Group, a prominent player in the European wind sector. This strategic acquisition merges Business in Wind’s advanced expertise in larger-scale wind projects with Iver Group’s extensive service portfolio, thereby enhancing the group’s operational capabilities and geographical footprint.

Business in Wind offers in-depth knowledge related to Vestas and Enercon turbines, with a proven track record of successful project delivery across the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Nordic countries, and Ukraine. The company excels in refurbishment and overhaul operations, encompassing the dismantling, servicing, and reinstallation of used wind turbines and their components.

With over 25 years of experience, Iver Group specializes in maintenance, assembly, disassembly, main component replacements, and wind turbine lifecycle management. The integration of these two firms will enhance support for clients aiming to optimize turbine performance throughout each asset’s lifecycle.

This acquisition builds upon a history of collaboration between the two companies, which have previously partnered on various projects and shared knowledge in the wind industry.

“Business in Wind possesses a wealth of specialized knowledge and a seasoned team within the wind sector,” states John van Soest, CEO of Iver Group. “This expertise aligns with our entrepreneurial spirit at Iver. Together, we can broaden our support for clients, not just in the Netherlands but also across other regions. This acquisition represents our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and long-term growth.”

“Through knowledge sharing and maintaining our commitment to reliability, we are confident in a sustainable future,” says Wim Robbertsen, CEO of Business in Wind. “Our proficiency in dismantling and installing used wind turbines, as well as overhauling components in our dedicated workshop, will continue to provide value to our customers and partners.”

Continued Brand Independence

Following the acquisition, Business in Wind will retain its independent brand identity within Iver Group. During the integration process, both organizations will explore avenues for increased collaboration while ensuring continuity for customers, partners, and employees. Existing projects will proceed as planned, with current points of contact remaining unchanged.

The addition of Business in Wind reinforces Iver Group’s strategy to broaden its capabilities, enabling support for customers throughout Europe for the entire lifecycle of their wind turbine assets. Source (including image credits): Iver/Business in Wind
