Envision Energy, a prominent player in green technology, has released Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its major wind turbine models—the EN-171/6.0/6.25/6.5 and EN-182/6.25—on the EPDItaly platform. This initiative highlights Envision’s dedication to sustainability by providing globally recognized ecological credentials for its customers and partners, thereby encouraging a transition in the industry from mere cost competition to a focus on comprehensive life-cycle environmental values.

The EPD serves as a standardized Type III declaration based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). It assesses a product’s environmental impact from raw material extraction to manufacturing, usage, and end-of-life disposal. Envision’s reports adhere to ISO 14025, ISO 14040, ISO 14044, and PCR EPDItaly013 standards, detailing critical metrics such as Global Warming Potential (GWP), Acidification Potential (AP), and Eutrophication Potential (EP).

Key sustainability features of Envision’s turbines include:

  • Eco-design and Recyclability: The turbines feature optimized lightweight designs and material efficiency, achieving 85–90% recyclability, thereby aligning with circular economy principles.
  • Supply Chain Decarbonization: Envision is implementing an AIoT-based Carbon Management System across its supply chain, with 18% of suppliers currently utilizing 100% renewable energy, aiming for complete renewable electricity adoption by 2028.
  • Operational Efficiency and Innovation: These turbines utilize the Galileo SuperSense System, the first digital twin platform in the industry for asset health management, which extends lifespan and enhances energy yield while minimizing carbon intensity.
  • Digital Carbon Management: Envision employs EnOS Ark, a global carbon accounting and LCA platform, ensuring precise measurement, transparent reporting, and a high level of data integrity.
