Vestas has unveiled a fresh contract as part of its Q1 intake, securing a 62 MW agreement from MIBRAG GmbH, an affiliate of Energetický a průmyslový holding (EPH). The project, titled Profen II, is anticipated to be located in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. This represents Vestas’ second agreement in Germany this month, subsequent to the contract for the Bahren West II wind initiative in Brandenburg.
The Profen II wind farm will feature 10 V162-6.2 MW turbines, renowned for their exceptional efficiency and performance. Vestas will offer extensive support through a 20-year AOM5000 Service Agreement, ensuring optimal operation and maintenance.
Turbine delivery is projected to commence in Q1 2026, with commissioning anticipated in Q1 2027. This endeavor underscores Vestas’ dedication to enhancing Germany’s renewable energy capacity and facilitating the region’s shift to sustainable power.
