XOCEAN Successfully Completes Initial Campaign for Eneco
International ocean data provider XOCEAN has successfully executed the first campaign under a five-year framework agreement with Eneco. This initiative involved the collection of ocean data across five offshore wind farms located in the Netherlands.
The campaign facilitated vital inspection and maintenance operations for the wind farms. XOCEAN deployed advanced uncrewed survey vessels to examine the seabed surrounding the turbine foundations at Eneco’s offshore sites. These surveys identified changes in seabed conditions and gathered essential data to monitor and evaluate the structural integrity of the wind farms over time. Such information is crucial for Eneco’s initiatives aimed at enhancing the management and safety of its offshore wind assets.
Establishment of Operational Hub in IJmuiden
As part of its long-term partnership with Eneco, XOCEAN has established a new operational hub in IJmuiden. This facility will serve as the command center for managing the company’s uncrewed survey vessels, which support operations at Dutch offshore wind farms.
Following the successful completion of this initial campaign, XOCEAN is gearing up for the next phase of work under the framework agreement, scheduled for later this year. Source: XOCEAN. Image: Eneco/XOCEAN
